The Nature-Based Exchange aims to foster the widespread and practical application of natural and nature-based solutions (NNBS) throughout South Carolina to address climate change, biodiversity loss, water management, and social inequalities. A collaborative effort led by The Nature Conservancy, the initiative focuses on promoting equity, community engagement, and environmental resilience to increase NNBS awareness, access, and development.

Following a successful workshop series, the Nature-Based Exchange is currently offering day-long trainings to local governments, businesses, community leaders, and practitioners on the design, implementation, and maintenance of NNBS. Our podcast, Conversing with Nature, brings nature to your living room as local and regional experts share personal stories, practical advice, and wise insights as we explore the connection between people and nature. As the Exchanges continues to expand, we hope to create a more resilient, sustainable, and inclusive South Carolina that leverages nature’s solutions for the benefit of all.
